Youth and High School Sailing 2025-2026

Our fall and spring sailing seasons welcome sailors with all experience levels (even newcomers) from sixth through twelfth grades, form all private and public school across Sheboygan County. Sixth to eighth-grade sailors are encouraged to join our "after-school" sailing program, while ninth to twelfth-grade sailors should participate in our "high school" sailing program. All are invited to join!

Depending on wind and water temperatures, students may need to wear drysuits in practices and regattas. SYSC has drysuits for students to borrow for the season.

High School sailing practices will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30pm to 6:00pm

There will be racing opportunities for all youth grades and Sheboygan North High racing members.

March 31 - Normal HS Practice Schedule Begins - Tues/Wed/Thurs 3:30pm-6:00pm
April 11/ 12 - Mallory / Baker prequalifier @ Sheboygan
April 25/ 26 - May Madness: Tier 3 @ Nagawicka (PLSS, Pewaukee)
May 2 - Tier 3 @ CYC Belmont (Chicago)
May 3 - Tier 3 @ ColYC (Chicago)
May 16 - Wisconsin State Championship @ Sheboygan
May 17 - Tier 3 @ Lake Forest

After School sailing practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30pm-6:00pm beginning March 30th

What To Wear

What To Wear

Sailors should wear comfortable, close-toed shoes that can get wet! They should also wear clothes that are still comfortable when wet, a hat and sunglasses.

What To Bring

Remember, it can be cooler by the lake. Bring along a towel, sweatshirt or raincoat and sunscreen. We also recommend bringing along a snack and a water bottle. If you have your own lifejacket, bring it with you or wear one of ours.
