J24 Tiller Time
This is a NEW option on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday nights for SYSC adult sailors who have already taken a lesson at SYSC (level 1 or 2). J24 Tiller Time is meant for those who do not need to a repeat of the basics, but would like to practice their skills in a relaxed environment with other students and an SYSC instructor. If you want to work on skippering, sail handling for jib, main, spinnaker, or just general skill reinforcement outside of a structured class, this is a great option for you.
These sessions will prioritize time on the water. After a quick brief, sailors will get on the boat, and go sailing. Sails will already be on the boat to reduce the time rigging, and outboard engines will be available for lighter nights to get in and out of the harbor more quickly.
About the J24: These boats are among the most popular keelboats on the planet. The J24 is a beamy boat with plenty of room down below for keeping personal items dry, bringing some food or beverage, and having more space on deck to manoeuver. Over 5,400 J24's have been built, and there is a reason they are so beloved and popular worldwide.
Weekly from 6pm - 8pm:
Monday nights: June 8th through August 10th
Tuesday nights: June 9th through August 11th
Thursday nights: June 11th through August 13th
