Beginner Pram Camp- Morning Class (Ages 7-11)
If you're looking somewhere to start your young sailor, you're in the right place!
What is the course about, and who is it for?
The Beginner Pram Camp offers an opportunity for all young beginner sailors to learn basic boat handling and gain confidence in the water. Topics covered include: points of sail, sportsmanship, water safety and rigging while having fun and getting comfortable on the water. Students will learn in Prams with one or two sailors per boat. Prams are small square shaped boats made of tough plastic with square sails; which are ideal as forgiving boats for learning. Daily activities include lessons given on land with games and chalkboard instruction, then reinforcing topics on the water. The focus is mainly to have fun and gain knowledge and confidence through an open experience for the entire group. Beginner Pram Camp is designed for both new sailors, and returning sailors who thrive in a fun and casual learning atmosphere. We recommend a minimum of two or more sessions for those looking to progress to other learning opportunities.
